Told me personally that all the Black and Hispanic teachers are mean.

I have worked with Caryn Michaeli for a number of years and find these posts to be extremely derogatory. The accusations made in these posts are hurtful and appear to be made by an individual who has a personality issue with her and might be anti-Semitic . I have had occasions where I may not have agreed with her thought process but she has always had an open door policy allowing anyone to offer their opinion and has taken those opinions into consideration. I’m sorry that this person doesn’t feel comfortable enough to express their opinions on issues that upset them.
Ms. Michaeli encourages and facilitates school-wide celebrations for all cultural holidays so that children can learn about diversity. I am not sure why this post would insinuate that she puts down black and hispanic individuals as that is clearly not the case. There are high expectations in place for academics but they are met with equally high expectations in place for developing well rounded children who will lead this world in a better direction.
The individual who posted these statements is clearly unhappy and should be actively seeking other employment.

Concerned staff

It’s interesting to read these comments. I’ve been at the school for 10+ years and didn’t know about the wild number of investigations. I guess anyone can keep that a secret, but if she is “bragging about them” I wonder how come I didn’t know. If it is true though, it’s funny that none stuck… Guess there was no validity to any of them. Isn’t that how it works?

I have to stay I strongly believe that the staff as well as the community of parents stand by the administration. Many people have left because of their commutes to work. A lot of teachers come from Long Island. These comments sound like 1 or 2 people that do not want to do the work it takes to be a successful educator. Don’t defame someone because you are unhappy here. It’s probable best to find somewhere you can be happy.
