The school environment is toxic. Gemma and her AP Maria Vasquez harass and demean the staff and she goes after peoples certifications and or discontinues them. Gemma doesn’t report many incidents in the school and refuses to discipline the child. During PPO she hides children. Paraprofessionals do lunch duty, one has her own classroom (and isn’t a lead para). Gemma is protected by the superintendent so when she was missing this year for a month the superintendent supposedly approved that. We need help was are scared because she tries to ruin people for no reason. I was able to get out due to being excessed but need to follow up with this because it is horrific and the staff is scared to open their mouths in fact the union rep doesn’t help anyone but the union rep so she stays loyal to Gemma not the individuals she is supposed to represent.
